I am a painter and illustrator, particularly drawn to vivid color; big, bright florals; and cultural/sacred symbols. A voracious reader, I love empowering words and often use text in my work. I enjoy combining uplifting phrases with mixed media, painting in acrylics and cuerda seca tile making.
I live with my family in Gaston County, near Charlotte, NC where I am very active in the local arts scene. I'm a past President of the Gaston County Art Guild, as well as past officer of the Carolina Lettering Arts Society and Gulf Coast Calligraphy Guild. In 2016 I became a juried member of the Charlotte Art Collective.
